Presenting at the BADth conference 2026!
Nov 23 2025
I am delighted to announce that I will be presenting a performance-lecture (in person) and a workshop (online) at the British Association of Dramatherapists (BADth) annual Conference, 2026.
The theme of the conference is Shadows To Strength; transforming group dynamics in Dramatherapy.
BADth describe the conference as “… an urgent invitation to look deeply at the forces we engage with daily: the unconscious patterns, systemic tensions, and relational dynamics that shape every space we work in….We are called to navigate these "shadows" and transform them into potent sources of insight, strength, and collective healing…”
The conference has two parts:
- Part one is in-person in Glasgow 9-11 January
- Part two is online from 17-25 Januarry
I am over the moon to be part of it. The line up looks amazing! Check it out here.
What I'll be presenting
I will be presenting a performance Lecture on the 10th January in Glasgow and a workshop online on the 22nd January 2026.
How does your shadow impact the group process?
Saturday 10th January - Performance-Lecture (In Glasgow)
Holly Stoppit presents a part-performance, part-lecture, part-social experiment using her interdisciplinary skills in Fooling, Internal Family Systems (IFS), public speaking, and research.
The session explores how our inner shadow parts—the voices and drivers in our heads—profoundly impact our facilitation style and the group process. Holly will share her personal story of how discovering and befriending the shadow parts that drove her to burnout, using meditation, IFS, and Fooling, transformed her practice.
You'll be guided through how shifting this relationship moves facilitation from being restrictive to spacious, trusting, and empowering. The session invites you to discover the impact this transformation is having on group process and reflect on your own facilitation style.
How do your inner parts impact the group process?
Thursday 22nd January - Workshop (Online)
This practical workshop offers creative and embodied approaches to Internal Family Systems (IFS) to explore the shadow parts in you that get activated when leading groups.
Perhaps you have a mega efficient part that just wants to get the job done? Perhaps there is a part that wants to make sure everybody's okay? Perhaps there’s a critical part that thinks that people in the group (or you) are stupid, boring or annoying? Perhaps there's a part who is deeply longing to connect?
What impact do these parts have on your group facilitation and how that might impact the group process?
