Facilitator, dramatherapist, IFS practitioner and supervisor, Holly Stoppit is offering a 6-week dive into creative and empowering group facilitation.
Holly has been designing and delivering group workshops for adults since 2007 (before this she was a performer, playworker and drama workshop leader for kids). Holly’s workshops combine body-based creative exploration (movement, embodiment, clowning, fooling) with meditation and self-inquiry to offer spaces for people to connect with themselves, other people and the world.
Holly completed her MA in dramatherapy in 2013 and these skills allow her to sensitively hold a robust and inclusive space where people with mental and physical health issues, neuro-divergent people and LGBTQi+ people are welcomed, seen and celebrated.
Holly completed her training as a Creative Arts Therapies Supervisor with Relight in 2022 and has since been supporting artists, facilitators and therapists through her online one-to-one services.
This 6-week course is an opportunity for a small group of 6-8 people to come together and support each other's development as creative facilitators.
Who is it for?
Holly’s Creative Facilitation Training is open for facilitators, artists, therapists, teachers, managers, leaders and anyone who wants to develop skills and cultivate awareness to hold inclusive and accessible space, which is safe enough to take risks.
Perhaps you’ve already got an idea for a great group workshop, but are lacking the confidence and know-how to get it off the ground?
Perhaps you’re already working with groups, but are wanting to find a more empowering, choice-laden, person-centred approach?
Perhaps you are already working one-to-one and interested in how to scale that up to working with groups?

What’s going to happen?
We will meet for 2 ½ hours each week on Zoom to explore, discuss, play and learn together.
Each week will start with a short grounding and check-in before Holly offers a theme for us to reflect on through creative activities, personal reflection and discussion.
In each session we may spend time alone, writing, drawing or moving with the theme, we may spend time playing or sharing in pairs / small groups in breakout rooms and we’ll come back to share with the big group. Holly aims to create a space where we can all learn from and with each other, pooling our wisdom and supporting each other’s growth.
Themes we’ll be exploring include
>Who are you as a leader? What are your qualities and challenges?
>Group Process: What’s going on beneath the surface?
>Beginnings and Endings - contracts, agreements, ritual and routine.
>Empowering Choice: offers and requests as opposed to instructions and demands
>Designing inclusive activities / sessions / programmes
>Compassionate leadership - dealing with tricky characters
>Next steps - what will you offer the world and what support do you need?
Cost
Standard: £400 (£66 per session)
Low income: £360 (£60 per session)
Supported: £300 (£50 per session)
