Holly talks on the Playfulife Podcast
Dec 10 2020
Do you remember way back in May, when lockdown 1 was still in full (anti)flow? Robyn Hambrook and I had been creating and curating short virtual workshops for two months for our growing international gaggle of clowns. We'd just started piloting our first Zoom Clown course, discovering how to clown on Zoom alongside our willing guinea pigs clowns.
Since then, we've rebranded to The Online Clown Academy, developed three new Zoom courses and organised our first online conference. We've been busy little clown bees!
Thinking of bees, cast your mind back to the heady days of May when the air was thick with the scent of blossom and the baby ducklings were just starting to hatch. Anthony Trahair from Playfulife approached me for an interview after watching my Bristol TEDx talk.
Anthony was especially interested to hear about how safety and risk, vulnerability and allowing ourselves to be seen in all our weirdness and wildness, feature in my Clown-o-therapy work. Tune into Episode 11 to find out more.
I hope you enjoy listening to this sunny little time capsule as the nights draw in. Big thanks to Anthony Trahair for inviting me on the show. You can find the full series of interviews with international play specialists here.
Play on!
