I am delighted to announce that I will be sharing some of my research at two dramatherapy conferences this autumn! Dramatherapy Southwest in Exeter on 14th September and The British Association of Dramatherapists (BADth) online in the week of the 14th October.

A bit of background

I trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) a year ago and have spent the last year exploring different ways of integrating IFS with dramatherapy, play, embodiment, clowning, fooling and creativity.

If you’d like to find out about IFS - what it is and how I’ve been integrating it into my toolkit, start with Internal Family Systems and Me.

I’m also part of a research group of IFS trained clowns and fools. If you’d like to get a taste of what we get up to, check out Playing With Parts.

IFS has given me a sturdy framework which has allowed me to continue to deepen my parts work. I’ve been finding different ways to bring it into my group workshops and my one-to-one therapy, supervision and creative consultancy. Using a creative embodied approach has helped people to get to know their inner tribe, tuning into their individual needs, desires, hopes and fears and helping them to function together as a team.

Keen to share what I’ve been finding with other dramatherapists, I applied to two dramatherapy conferences and got accepted for both! I will be presenting two different workshops at two different conferences and you are welcome to join!

My Workshop title: Exploring Internal and External Systems.

Description of my workshop: Using meditation, embodiment, play, artwork and discussion to explore how our internal and external systems interrelate.
